2025 Annual Meeting
Summary and Photo Gallery
The NCCACS Annual Meeting, held in person for the first time since 2019, was a resounding success under the leadership of President Andre' Campbell. The meeting featured a range of insightful panels, including discussions on the Business Aspects of Surgery, a showcase of All-California Joint Advocacy’s success in advancing the E-bike bill, and a valuable Career Pathways panel tailored for surgical trainees.
A highlight of the event was the 5th Annual Thomas Russell Research Paper Competition, which recognized outstanding research in the field of surgery. The winners included Simon Chu, MD from UCSF, who took first place, followed by Alison Baskin, MD, also from UCSF, in second place, and Amy Tsai, MD from Stanford University, who earned third place.
The Resident Surgical Jeopardy competition brought a fun and competitive spirit to the event, with five teams participating and UCSF-Fresno claiming the trophy. Additionally, the meeting provided ample networking opportunities, with attendees enjoying the sold-out exhibits and connecting with colleagues throughout the day.
Overall, the NCCACS Annual Meeting proved to be an invaluable experience for attendees, offering a perfect blend of education, research, and networking.
